10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10

Are you doing those good works God prepared in advance for you to do? They don’t get you into Heaven, only accepting Jesus does that.  These are the things God made you for and to do.

That’s what I’m trying to do here.  Writing online. Ive started and stopped this type of things at least 10-15 times over the 30 years of professional life. 

This time is different. For real.

How? God’s timing is perfect. It’s now God saying it should be done NOW.

I have a real sense that this is what I’m supposed to be doing now.  Of course my priority mission is to love support our boys and get them launched onto the path God has for them. My VOCATION is to write about Jesus, and this equates to the good works He has prepared for me in Ephesians 2:10.

The previous attempts were me wanting to write and do something important, based on my definition of a productive life. Now, God is telling me to write and He is defining productivity.

“Someone somewhere is waiting on you to do what God want you to do.”

I saw that quote somewhere a while ago.  It’s true for all of us. God made each one of specially and for a specific purpose.  Google/Gemini says it’s a popular phrase and doesn’t give anyone credit for it.

I want to write about a Biblical lifestyle, following Jesus and applying Biblical principles to our lives with an overall attempt to ask questions and challenge ourselves to be truthful about how we are following Jesus and applying the Bible to our lives. We arent perfect, of course, but we cant get closer to Jesus if we dont have open and honest reflections.

I’m calling it Wild Adventures In Christ. It’s been a wild adventure for me for sure, and Jesus has been there for the good and bad, the peaks and valleys.

Through it all, I always asked what the Bible really says and how to apply it. I am not a Pastor and certainly don’t know everything about the Bible.  But I’ve learned some lessons, many are hard lessons.  My best learning comes from asking a question about life and then digging into the Bible for the answers.

So this Wild Adventure will focus on asking how we can apply God’s Word to our daily lives.

I hope it feels like an informal conversation. Kinda short. Easy to read. Something to make us think and maybe ask more questions to get to a better understanding of how to apply the Bible to our lives and therefore become more like Christ. Something to make us think about how we are being the person Jesus wants us to be.
